
JUNIOR TRANSPORT POLICY – 2015
Cleethorpes Cricket Club (CCC) supports the following principles related to transporting junior members
- Guidelines to Transportation to and from junior matches and training –
- Coaches and staff will be responsible for juniors in their care when on CCC premises or an arrival at opponents cricket grounds
- It is the responsibility of parents / carers to transport their children to and from the club
- It is not the responsibility of the Coach / Team Manager to transport, or arrange to transport, the children to and from the club or match
- CCC will seek permission from parents / carers to participate in all competitions and away fixtures / events
- CCC will provide a timetable of activities at the beginning of the season and
- Guidelines to Transportation of Juniors to senior matches –
- Notify parents / carers as soon as possible of any changes
- Parents / carers consent is required whenever CCC staff / volunteers transport a junior, see junior membership form
- Unless otherwise agreed the meeting point for away fixtures will be CCC, captains will advise meeting time accordingly and information will also be available on the club website.
- CCC staff / volunteers will arrange transport to the away fixture from the club but neither they, nor the club, can be liable for accident that occurs during the journey
- Drop off point after the game will also be at the Club, unless by prior agreement specific
- If a parent / carer is late the Club will:
- Attempt to contact the parent / carer
- Check the Club contact number for any information
- Contact the alternative contact number
- Wait with the junior member at the club with, whenever possible, other staff / volunteers or parents / carers
- If parents / carers remain uncontactable staff will need to report to The Child Protection Officer and then Social Services or the Police
- CCC staff / volunteers will avoid:
- Taking the child home or to any other location without permission
- Asking the child to wait in a vehicle or at the Club with them alone
- Sending the child home with another person without permission
- CCC staff / volunteers will ensure:
- Vehicles are roadworthy and insured
- Ensure juniors wear seatbelts and where possible sit in the back
- All senior captains are CRB checked
