The cricket season is now in full swing, and we are pleased to confirm the start dates/times for the junior cricketers.
Our popular Friday night sessions for 5-11 year old (Primary school age, year 1-6) will be 6.00-7.30 starting on April the 7th. These will move to 6.30-8.00 once the light improves. The cost will be £2.50 per child. With a one off registration cost of £5.00. 2017 Friday evening training has proven extremely popular – over 90 children have attended the training session during one Friday evening training session (congratulations to all the coaches who delivered fun-filled training activities for each participant), and the club has signed 101 players in the 5-11 age-group.
Tuesday night has been allocated to u13/u15 (Secondary school age, years 7-11) training sessions. 6.00-7.30 starting on April 11th. This is primarily aimed at those who played in a team last season, but all are welcome who want to just train or indeed want to be part of one of our junior teams. The cost is £2.50. (A playing membership is payable if selected in a team).
Senior training is a Thursday for any dads or mums who would like to play or played a few years ago and would like to see if they can still hold a bat. We have a number of both junior and senior teams who are always looking for players (appropriate ability needed!).
All these sessions will be run by our qualified coaches and the priority is for all to have fun among friends and to learn the great game of cricket.
If you could pass these details onto family and friends as our database is as always in need of an update.
I hope to see some down on Cricket force day on Saturday the 2nd of April at the Club and the many social events we have planned over the Easter holidays.
We are also hoping to have some of our new Gray Nicolls playing shirts available to purchase, sponsored by our fantastic junior supporter, Ibwest Security.
Please support the club and the cricket section.
